In praise of the Super fan
If you are a friend of Bravissimo on Facebook, you will have noticed that the Bravissimo Super Fans’ event took place in London the other night. Some of our past Super Fans got together and swapped their experiences of Bravissimo and what being a Super Fan meant for them personally. I know we may have mentioned it before (once or twice), but finding the right bra really can change your life and these girls a testament to that.
One fan had her fitting over the phone, at first she wasn’t too confident, however the fitter was knowledgable and helpful and talked her through signs that she should be looking for when trying on a bra. The Bravissimo parcel arrived and as soon as she tried on her new bra, she had her eureka moment.
Some Fans had been so unhappy with their boobs that they had even considered surgery, only to find that the right bra eliminates backache, corrects posture, which in turn improves the figure, knocking a few pounds off and creating a new feeling of self confidence as a consequence. All that from a bra, can’t be bad eh!
Another Super Fan was looking for some lingerie for her wedding but was not keen on the prospect of searching the high street for something supportive but dull, until she stepped into a Bravissimo store and was shown the Hestia Basque and couldn’t believe how sexy it was, whilst still offering great support and lift.
One of our other Super Fans was introduced to Bravissimo by a friend, after she had been complaining that there was nothing out there for bigger boobed ladies apart from granny bras, she literally could not believe her eyes when she actually saw how much choice Bravissimo offered and in so many gorgeous colours and fabulous styles.
We would like to thank our wonderful Super Fans and all our Bravissimo ladies for continuing to support us and being so passionate about our brand. We hope more and more of you will continue to spread the word, so women can get the very best advice in the future. And for anyone reading this that suspects they are wearing the wrong size, remember there is tons of information on our Perfect Fit Guide on the Bravissimo website, or you can pop into one of our stores or telephone us for advice on 01926 459 859.
Everyone For Tennis

Freya Active Underwired bra in black
It’s Wimbledon fortnight and everyone is getting a bit overexcited. The All-England Club is awash with the world’s finest tennis players, the seats, stands and hills are packed full of British women cheering on their heroes, eating strawberries & cream, drinking champagne and generally having a great time. It is also the time of year, when your local park’s tennis courts are packed with hopefuls desperately trying to emulate Andy Murray or Laura Robson.
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a tennis pro, then Bravissimo can recommend the Freya Active Underwired bra, we have been told by some of our Bravissimo ladies, that this is a great sports bra for high impact sports like tennis. The Freya Active will keep your boobs securely in place, fully supported, but still gives great shape and uplift and is super comfortable too. It comes in a great range of colours, including graphite/lime, red, nude, black and white. We have plenty of the black and white available, and keep checking our website, as the other colours will be back in stock soon. Enjoy the rest of Wimbledon ladies, we know we will.

Burlesque Beauties

Thrill Me Bra by Curvy Kate
Once upon a time these very sexy styles were only made for our smaller boobed friends, now thankfully, you won’t miss out. Why should women lose out on style, just because they have more up top?
Bravissimo is definitely leading the way in this bigger boob lingerie revolution and we are extremely excited about some of our new styles, we hope you will love them too. The Paige Bra by Miss Mandalay is sexy and fun, it has a sheer panel for an extra touch of sassiness, a fuller cup than the normal balconette and the hot pink colour is exclusive to Bravissimo, the contrasting bright yellow lace trim, is a really great finishing touch. The matching thong is really flirty, with its two bright yellow frills and little bow.
The Thrill Me Bra by Curvy Kate, will be sure to thrill you and anyone who comes within half a mile of you. Not only does it ooze sex appeal, we have it on very good authority, that this bra is very comfortable and gives amazing uplift. The Azure/ Plum is a lovely colourway and it also comes in blushing Rasberry/Charcoal. It is lightly padded and underwired with fully adjustable shoulder straps. The matching shorts are soooo gorgeous and just to top it off; they have added suspender straps, in case they weren’t sexy enough.
No Pain, no gain

Bravissimo's D+ Max Sports Bra
If you are one of our Bravissimo ladies that will be heading down the gym, it is essential that you invest in a good, supportive, sports bra. We know the problems associated with wearing an unsupportive bra in our day to day life, but did you know that during exercise, your bigger boobs can bounce up to 14cm in a unsupported bra? As well as this being highly embarrassing for you – in front of your fellow gym goers – it’s also bad for your health. Exercising in the wrong bra can also cause breast pain and can result in permanent sagging. In short, finding the right sports bra can transform your workout, and turn you from a gym hater to a gym bunny.
Bravissimo have some great options, for a bra best suited to high intensity sports, with fantastic support, shape and no wire, try the D+ Max Sports Bra by Shock Absorber. Or for an underwire bra, choose the Active Underwired bra by Freya, this is a full cup with flexible underwiring, it is really supportive, comfortable and separates the boobs nicely creating a great shape. Its available in lots of colous, black, white, red, nude and graphite and lime which will be back in stock very soon.
So now you are all set, you will have to come up with another excuse to why you can’t hit the gym!
Say it with flowers

Fern Bra by Panache
One of the highlights is the Irish Sky Garden by Diarmuid Gavin, known for his inventive and unusual garden design, and his latest creation doesn’t disappoint. His garden in the sky overlooks reflective pools and at its highest point, you can see the whole of Chelsea and beyond, taking in the river and Battersea Power Station. Some of the gold awards were handed out to The B&Q Garden, A Postcard from Wales, Hae-woo-so (Emptying One’s Mind), The Daily Telegraph Garden and The HESCO Garden by Leeds City Council. To see more visit http://www.rhs.org.uk/
If you have missed Chelsea there are plenty more amazing gardens to see. On the 5-10th of July, It’s the largest flower show in the world at Hampton Court Palace. And on the 20–24 July in Knutsford, Cheshire, The RHS Flower Show, Tatton Park takes place.
If all this flowery and fragrant talk has inspired you, why not say it with flowers and browse some of Bravissimo’s pretty floral lingerie. The Fern Bra by Panache is very feminine, with its small print and contrast lace and fuller cup. Or there is the Fairytale Bra by Faubourg, an absolutely beautiful bra with coloured floral embroidery on cream, the matching shorts and thong feature a really cute skirted detail.
Mum’s the word

Sophie Nursing Bra in Candy Pink
Firstly when you are expecting, it is a good idea to wear a bra without an underwire we can recommend the Charlotte Soft Cup Bra by Royce, it has a soft full cup and can be worn during your pregnancy (and after) and gives a really flattering shape. After your baby is born and if you are breastfeeding, there is the lovely Sadie Nursing Bra by Royce, this is a really comfortable bra that will keep you cool when your hormones are making you hot and bothered, as it has thermo regulating properties, it comes in pink & silver, black & silver and ivory & silver. The last bra definitely worth a mention, is the gorgeous Sophie Nursing Bra by Panache, this is a very pretty nursing bra, made in a soft jersey fabric covered with lace. It has detachable straps for breastfeeding and comes in four colours; candy pink, fuchsia & peach, black and Ivory & Peach.
Every mum-to-be and new mum should be able to enjoy every moment, and a comfortable bra is a great place to start!
Game, Set and Match

The Parisian Plume Bra
A few years ago B.B. (Before Bravissimo), sets used to be reserved for your wedding day or a romantic night, now thankfully, times has moved on and lingerie has too and we don’t need an excuse to wear a matching set.
So if you want to feel sexy, special but still supported, take a look at the Parisian Plume Bra, new from Bravissimo. This set puts the “Ooh” into the “Ooh-La-La”, the bra is a half-cup, but still offers plenty of support, it is lightly padded, creating a lovely rounded shape and it is very comfortable. You have the option of the matching shorts or thong, or why not get both?
The Broderie Bra by Bravissimo is a beautiful bra; it is balconette in style, with a lower centre, so can be worn with lower cut tops. For the pretty option, it comes in cornflower blue, but if you want to do sassy, it comes in black and more colours are available. It is utterly gorgeous with its threaded organza ribbon and again we haven’t compromised on comfort or support when designing this bra. Wear with the super cute and comfy matching shorts and it is a great match.
We hope you like our selection and we will keep you posted on many more great pairings in the future.
Walk Tall
This coming Saturday the 14th May there will be 15,000 women (and lots of men too) walking through the streets of London in the dark wearing decorated bras. No, they are not the rejects from the Britain’s Got Talent auditions, they are raising money for a very worthy cause, breast cancer awareness.
We all love our boobs and maybe take them for granted at times, so its hard to contemplate how utterly devastating it is to receive a diagnoses for this disease, but these are people who have lost loved ones or are fighting breast cancer themselves, and are walking either 26 or 13 miles to raise as much money as possible for many different charities, services and hospitals all related to breast cancer, it’s incredible when you think about it!
If you would like to be a part of the glitter, laughs and camaraderie of the Moonwalk and live in the London area, you can still volunteer, as London are looking for all sorts of helpers from the welcome team and route marshals to people who hold a professional massage qualification.
For any Bravissimo ladies living in or near Edinburgh, they are holding a Moonwalk on the 11th June, so why not ring a few girlfriends and start decorating that bra (Bravissimo of course) and make a night of it, it will be an experience that you will never forget.
If you are afraid of the dark, there is a daytime event called The Sunwalk at Battersea Park, London on the 24th July, this is an event for all the family and you can choose to do 5K or 10K or even a half marathon, the theme of the day will be Wild West London, there will be line dancing and even a bucking bronco.
If you want any more information on any of these events or if you want to read about the inspirational lady who started all of this, follow the link below.
Size Matters
A recent tabloid feature claims that Britain’s busts are bigger than ever. Even the Queen’s underwear supplier has just brought out an N cup. Some of the ladies quoted in the article were clearly happy with their boobs and said they were part of their personality and wouldn’t change them for the world and the others really struggled to find correct fitting bras and clothes.

The Alana Bra - From DD to L cup
One thing is for sure though, as one of the ladies surveyed pointed out “A good-fitting bra can change your life” well, we couldn’t agree more. Bravissimo have estimated that 60 percent of ladies in a C cup should actually be in a D cup. We can’t stress how important it is to be regularly measured for a bra, remember boobs can fluctuate in size during the month.
Bravissimo offer lots of help and advice to get it right. Check out our ‘Perfect Fit Guide’ on our website. There are two fitting videos, ‘the full experience’ and the ‘quick quide’ for those Bravissimo girls who are short on time.
Take a look at our ‘Before and After gallery‘ with the lovely Kate, it’s amazing how wearing the right size can transform the way she looks, making her appear slimmer, making her boobs look perter. She has dropped a dress size as her boobs are higher up.
And there is even a ‘Which Bra Style‘ guide that shows you the correct style of bra to wear with different styles of tops.
Alternatively, if you would prefer to speak to a real person, then Bravissimo have customer services consultants on hand who are trained to offer you bra fitting advice over the phone, so if in any doubt just call 01926 459 859 they are more than happy to help.
