The Alana bra now comes in the gorgeous shade of pale aqua, the perfect accompaniment to your spring pastel wardrobe. Both the Ariza and Eliza bra also come in brand new shades for spring and for those days when a plain t-shirt bra just will not do, try the Frankie or Arabesque bra in bright colourful patterns to liven up your day! We also have some great new work wear, the iridescent collection comprises a fitted jacket, uber smart shift dress and tulip skirt in a shimmery slate grey fabric, it will jazz up any office! Mix and match with your wardrobe basics for work and if you’re brave enough, wear the jacket with a sexy basque underneath to nail the underwear as outer wear trend in the evening. It’s a very flattering style and is sure to turn heads. Got a party to attend? Why not try the sleek satin shift dress for size? The Perfect Fit

If you’re fed up with shirts not buttoning up and regularly have to go up a dress size just to get something to fit over your boobs then check out our clothing range. We give extra room in the bust area in all of our styles, helping you to find the perfect fit and with every thing from day time tops to all out evening glamour we have something for every occasion! Bravissimo sizes are based on standard high street sizes (8-18) and then your “curvy” size.  So if your normal high street size was a size 12 (this applies to waist and hips and excludes boobs) and you wear a F cup bra we’d recommend going for a size 12 really curvy. Valentine’s Day Film Premiere…

Valentine's Day Competition Winners

Valentine's Day Competition Winners

Congratulations to Michelle and Gemma on winning tickets to the Premiere of Valentine’s Day in London last week.  It was a star studded event with Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Jessica Alba, Topher Grace and many more celebrities in attendance.  As you can see our competition winners seemed quite at home on the red carpet!  It was lovely to meet you ladies and we hope you enjoyed the film as much as we did.  If you’ve yet to see Valentine’s Day, it’s on in cinemas now.

Angela & Friends…

We’re proud to have visited the lovely ladies at Angela & Friends last week for a bra fitting clinic.  The Sky One daily chat show is hosted by Angela Griffin and friends.  We had the pleasure of fitting all the ladies, all of which were wearing the wrong size bra when we arrived, however we’re pleased to say they were all wearing the correct size when we left, and all looked fabulous!

Retro 90s

Its official, the 90s are retro. This means that we can reinvent the biggest looks of the decade and reflect on the good, the bad and the down right ugly fashions and fads of the era. That’s exactly what we’re going to do, just for fun!

The things we loved about the 90s;

  • The Spice Girls – girl power at its fiercest and our most coveted fashion trends, wedges anyone?
  • Rachel’s hair in friends – who didn’t take a picture of her to the hairdressers and say ‘I want it like this?’
  • OTT make-up
  • Boy bands (911 ring any bells?)

The things we’d rather forget about the 90s;

  • Lycra, enough said.
  • Bumbags – not useful, just plain ugly.
  • Shell suits – fashion faux-pas and fire hazard, not the best combination.
  • Bad hair – mullets and perms, never again, ever!
  • Double denim – wrong, wrong, wrong and sorry but we’re not accepting this as a spring 2010 trend either. We think the fashion world is having us on with that one!

As the 90s trends insist on cropping up in our spring/summer wardrobe we tell you how to rock the 90s look in 2010.
Crop tops. Modern crop tops are shorter at the front and back and have longer sides, for a more flattering effect. They are also floaty, silky and should be worn with a plain vest underneath. This way the look is more of a layered look than a bare mid-rift look. They can also be worn with a high waisted skirt or trousers to keep it classy.
Denim. Just not worn head to toe. This spring denim should be worn as anything apart from as jeans. Denim dresses, shirts, skirts and shorts should keep you going through spring, without a pair of jeans in sight!
Sportswear. Shell suits and track suits should be left in the 90s, the modern sports look is luxe. A kind of glamour meets sports day, with no intention of any actual physical activity. Works for us!
On display underwear. Well, if you’ve got it you may as well flaunt it, especially if your assets are dressed in designed to be seen underwear.

French fancy…

How do French ladies do it? Looking chic and fashionable in such an effortless way? It is a question that has flummoxed us for years.  Aside from their proximity to the fashion capital itself, Paris, French women know how to balance just the right amount of fashion and style. So what’s their secret?

Style. It’s simple, French ladies will wear one trend at a time and work it to perfection rather than covering themselves head to toe in the latest fashion fads. These women seem to have the innate ability to spot a fashion classic, whilst we’re still wearing leggings (in every colour, texture and print imaginable).

So how do we do the Parisienne chic thing? The key is great basics, a classic white shirt, great fitting trousers, the perfect fit coat and lashings of black. French women are also more conservative when it comes to flashing the flesh, in other words, they don’t! Sexiness is achieved by leaving what is underneath to the imagination, rather than showcasing your assets in a more obvious way. It’s a look that takes practice to perfect, but effortless chic never goes out of fashion.

If you’re not quite ready for spring trends just yet, why not try the French opulent look by teaming your basics with hints of velvet, silk and plenty of embellishments. A brocade dress or puff ball skirt works well to achieve the luxurious look that makes this trend what it is, but remember, subtlety is key when doing it the French way!

Changing scents…

For a quick and easy way to put a spring in your step, why not try a new perfume? Changing the perfume you wear can give you an instant lift with just enough effort involved in finding your new scent. The process of choosing a new perfume can be a lengthy one, where to start? Which ones to try? But once you’ve found a fragrance you love, it can give you an amazing confidence boost.

The key to finding your new scent is to narrow down which types of fragrance you prefer, fresh and citrusy, or floral and ask for guidance/suggestions in the store. It is also a good idea to get your partner’s approval when looking for a new perfume, as the last thing you want is to love your new scent just as much as they hate it!! And you never know, with Valentine’s Day just around the corner and a few subtle hints thrown in for good measure, you could be receiving a lovely and great smelling Valentine’s Day surprise!

On the other hand, if you want to wear something really different, why not raid the men’s section? Celebrities such as Elle Macpherson and Sophie Dahl wear scents originally created for men, the trick is to find a scent which isn’t overly manly but that has the right balance of softness with a hint of masculine musk. We’ve mastered the masculine look with our clothes so why not steal their aftershaves too?!

Bring a bit of colour into your life!

And your wardrobe too!

Do you keep trying to get more colour into your wardrobe but always end up going for the old faithful black? Well if ever there was a time to get more colours into your wardrobe, that time is now. There is an abundance of colour now in shops for new spring/summer collections, so there is no excuse for wearing so much black or grey! For an easy way to add colour to your look, invest in a few accessories in different colours that will compliment pieces already in your wardrobe. A bold coloured bag, bangle or pair of shoes will add an instant injection of colour to an otherwise plain outfit. The layering look can also work well for adding bursts of colour. A bright cami worn underneath a chunky knit cardigan will help to achieve the cosy yet sexy look, whereas, a brightly coloured coat has a much less subtle impact but is still fun!

Add a splash of colour!

Add a splash of colour!

Now, we’re not against black completely, we just think that there are so many other gorgeous colours out there, why should black get so much attention?! If you’re more colour shy, than colour happy, try the panelling trend. A simple black (or grey) dress with brightly coloured panelling will get more colour into your wardrobe without giving up totally on black. Plus, when the panelling is done in the right places, the overall effect can be more flattering than plain black! Who’d have thought?! And don’t stop there, bold colourful and great fitting lingerie never fails to brighten up our day!

Panache’s Tango bra comes in a beautiful array of colours including purple and red as well the staple black, white and nude. Also, the Maria bra in eye catching aqua is the perfect antidote to these wintry nights.

Modern Romance…

Valentines Day is just around the corner, but in a world where e-mails, texts and twitters have taken over from actual human interaction, we ask ”where has the romance gone?”

It seems gone are the days when men would swoon their love interest with poetry and love letters, unfortunately we haven’t received a love letter since our teens and not heard any poetry since we studied it at school. And it seems that the commercial aspect of the day has taken over from its meaning. Come late January, you can’t move in any shop for  stuffed cuddly toys holding hearts and other Valentine’s Day paraphernalia. Even the petrol garages have jumped on the band wagon of selling anything that could be seen as a token of affection.

However, we believe that romance does exist but that it’s merely taken on a different form, a modern form whereby a Facebook poke has become the equivalent of that flirtatious look and an ‘x’ at the end of a text means so much more than just an x. So maybe we should take a break from our hectic schedules and busy lifestyles and bring some old fashioned romance back into our lives, the sort that involves mushy words and face-to-face interaction.

Single? Valentines Day isn’t just for couples, show your loved ones that you care and treat them instead! And if you are in a relationship, make this Valentines Day about spending time with each other.
